How to use this page
Recommendations are informational. You decide how to mark your ballot on October 17, 2026.
Kelowna elects councillors at-large, so you can vote for several names on one ballot.
When recommendations are published, each will include a short rationale and key strengths so you can compare qualifications and share what you find useful.
We do the homework. You fill out your own ballot.

03 / The method
How these candidates were chosen
Every recommendation follows the same evaluation process: interviews, criteria, and committee deliberation.
Consistent interviews
Each participating candidate met the committee with the same agenda and the same questions.
Shared criteria
Experience, governance readiness, community involvement, and vision were weighed for everyone.
Committee deliberation
Recommendations reflect the group's collective assessment, published with clear reasoning.

04 / Incumbents
Incumbent recommendations
When sitting councillors earn a recommendation, we say so plainly. Same process, same criteria, no special treatment either way.
Incumbents who participated in the review were evaluated on the same framework as all other candidates. A recommendation reflects qualifications, not tenure, and being an incumbent is neither an advantage nor a mark against a candidate.
